Nashville, TN (October 16, 2013) - Two-time GRAMMY® winner Matt Redman led last night's 44th Annual Dove Awards with the most award wins of any artist. The acclaimed worship leader received six awards including the distinguished honor of "Songwriter of the Year" and "Song of the Year" for his powerful anthem "10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)." Redman also took home awards for the song in the categories of "Contemporary Christian Performance of the Year," "Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year" and "Praise & Worship Song of the Year." Adding to the night's wins, Redman and friends received the award for "Special Event Album of the Year" for this year's Passion: Let The Future Begin record.

Redman is currently out on his European tour, "God's Great Dance Floor - Worship Tour." Upon hearing about the award wins Redman remarked, "I've had a lot of affirmation as a worship songwriter recently, and particularly around the '10,000 Reasons' song. I won't ever take that for granted. I guess an award like this is a sign that the song has connected with the church and ultimately people's hearts and lives, so that makes me super glad."

The 44th Annual GMA Dove Awards was held last night at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The entire event will be televised exclusively on UP! Television Network on Monday, October 21 at 8:00 PM ET.

Last night's awards add to Redman's growing list of accolades seen this year in response to the impact of his song, "10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)." This year alone, Redman has received two GRAMMY® awards, a Billboard Music Award and the honor of being named ASCAP's Christian Music Song of the Year. He recently released his new record Your Grace Finds Me which peaked at No. 1 on the Soundscan Christian Albums Chart and in the Top 30 on the Billboard 200.
